Greetings this apparently fine afternoon. It is pretty cold even if it is nice looking from the inside. I have wondered of you folks got caught in a heavy rain on the way home Sunday evening. It rained almost an inch here between 6 and 7 oclock that evening. Has been pretty cold since.

Dear Folks: Ruth, Stuart and lovely girls -
It is seven in the evening so I will type awhile. It is another of those terrible days, blowing snow flying and roads and walks drifted. No mail all day, no buses no school no nothing. It is a real winter so stormy almost every day. I haven't seen Mom for a week tomorrow. I am assuming she is alright or I would have heard. I will go up the first day it is fit. One whirl per winter is all in want. I don't think there has been a train through today. Received your letter Ruth glad you folks had a nice trip home.

I comenced to work on the engine house at Warsatch Station Echo Canion Summit yesterday. The day was very pleasant for the time of year. I commenced work this morning before sunup. It was very pleasant this morning. It commenced to cloud up about 3:00 P.M., and got to snowing so hard by 4:00 P.M. that we had to quit work. We got a stove put up in or tent this evening. We have quite a comfortable place to stay in snow.
