Dear Mother:
I rec’d your letter a few days ago, and I was ashamed to learn that I had not written to you for so long,
indeed I thought I had written since you sent us the pictures. Well, I shall try and do better in the future.
We rec’d the pictures in good time and in good condition. We were delighted to get them. I think the
girls are fine looking. Those of Mr. MacHatton and yourself are very good. Now for the next thing, we wish
some of you to visit us next summer. If you can’t come, let some of the girls come and spend part if not all the
summer vacation with us. Please do not
