I rec’d your letter a few days ago, and I was ashamed to learn that I had not written to you for so long,
indeed I thought I had written since you sent us the pictures. Well, I shall try and do better in the future.

I am told that there is a weevil that works in them very badly but that this weevil can be entirely killed by treating the peas with Carbon bi sulphide ....
